There will be no service at St. Margaret’s this coming Sunday 19th June.
We will all be at Tallent St. Croydon Uniting Church, celebrating with other local uniting churches, the 39th Anniversary of the Uniting Church in Australia.
10.15 Pre service Singing, 10.30am Service commences at Croydon

ABLE BODIES PARKING. Along Croydon Rd. also in front of the Primary School or in the service road opposite the Primary school or in Tallent St. PARKING FOR LESS ABLE BODIED. Please drive into Tallent St. Take the 2nd entrance to the church & drop off passengers Parking available near hall or around the back of the hall. Croydon UC will provide parking attendants.

  1. You are asked to bring non perishable food items for Helping Hand. The offerings will be for both Envelopes and open plate . The Open Plate cash offerings will be donated to Helping Hand.
  2. There will be both a combined band and a combined choir.
  3. Lunch will follow the service. Thank you to those who have generously offered to make a loaf of sandwiches for lunch.

at St. Margaret’s Uniting Church, Mooroolbark

Thursday March 28th: Upper Room meal 6:30pm
– a simple shared meal of soup and bread (supplied) with Holy Communion and optional washing of feet or hands. Upstairs in the St. Margaret’s chapel.

Friday March 29th: Good Friday worship 9:30am
– we step ‘into the darkness’ of the crucifixion and death of Jesus.

Saturday March 30th: Easter Saturday Labyrinth 10am
– this is a quiet and reflective time to pray with the Scriptures in this ‘in between’ space. A labyrinth is available outside to walk as an aide to reflective prayer.

Sunday March 31st: Dawn Service at Lilydale Lake 6:30am for a 6:45 start
– this service celebrates our risen Lord with the rising sun on the third day. A combined event of the Outer Eastern Cluster of Uniting Churches.

Sunday March 31st: Easter Day Celebration 9:30am
– we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ in worship. Includes Holy Communion.

We mark the start of the season of Lent at St. Margaret’s with an Ash Wednesday service on February 13 at 7:30pm.

There is much happening at this time of year at St. Margaret’s. Our weekly worship continues every Sunday morning at 9:30am.

Christmas Eve – Monday Dec 24th

7pm – All ages Christmas Celebration

This worship time features sharing the story of Jesus’ birth in a fun and informal way. With storytelling, children and others as participants in the story, and lots of Christmas songs, we celebrate the light who comes into our world. All are welcome.

11:30pm – Carols with Holy Communion

This is a time to sing your favourite Christmas carols in the candlelight. We welcome Christmas day by sharing the meal that Jesus invited us to remember. We celebrate that Christ was born, lived among us and remains a risen presence who brings us joy this season.

Christmas Day – Tuesday Dec 25th

9:30 am – Christmas Celebration

We gather to worship the newborn king and celebrate God who lives among us. Come and share this delightful day of joy that brings peace and hope to our personal lives and the wider world.

St. Margaret’s will host a combined worship service and celebration of the 35th birthday of the Uniting Church for the outer eastern cluster of Uniting Churches.

Worship begins at 10:30 am, 219 Hull Road, Mooroolbark.

Program includes:

9 am Forum – facilitated by John Emmett on being a missional church (followed by morning tea)

10:30 am – Worship celebration

A shared lunch follows.

The Outer Eastern Cluster of Uniting Churches includes: Lilydale, Croydon North, Croydon, Montrose, St. Margaret’s Mooroolbark, and Billanook College.

April 5th 6:30pm: Service of shadows – upper room meal with Holy Communion, footwashing, and service of shadows.

April 6th 9:30am: Good Friday service

April 7th 2pm: Easter Vigil – a time of prayer, personal reflection and labyrinth walk

April 8th 6:15am: Dawn service with local Uniting Churches at Lilydale Lake (meet at boat ramp), includes Holy Communion

April 8th 9:30am: Easter Celebration – into the light – worship at St. Margaret’s Uniting church. Includes Holy Communion, all welcome.
