The Uniting Church in Australia encourages congregations to participate in Giving is Living. This program reminds us that integral to living in Jesus’ way is a spirit of hospitality, sharing, and care for others.

Our experience at St. Margaret’s holds this to be true. At times in our history we have needed the generous support and care of others. We have gratefully received this support and now find ourselves able to share generously the things God has given us.

As we live out a spirit of giving, we regularly support the Wesley Mission in Ringwood.

Thanks to a serendipitous meeting, we are proud to be a supporter of the Rubaga Youth Development Association RYDA) in Uganda. RYDA has done amazing work with marginalised young people in that country. Doug is available to speak to people about RYDA and does so with great passion.

The people of Karyrie parish in the Wycheproof area know first hand how tough it can be living in rural Australia. Our country cousins have battled a long drought in the last decade, plagues of locusts, and then serious flooding. St. Margaret’s has been able to forward the proceeds of our annual church fete to the good folk at Karyrie so that ministry is able to continue for and with the people there. In particular, pastoral ministry is essential in areas like Wycheproof.
